‘Tis the night before Christmas…

...and belief in magic has skyrocketed. What’s more, for the first time in centuries, there will be a lunar eclipse on Christmas Eve. Everyone knows that there’s nothing more magical than Christmas cheer combined with the random revolutions of a celestial body.

Now is the time to act. You are all cursed toys given life by magic, and tonight you have the chance at a Christmas miracle. If you can get to the top of the highest hill at the center of The City and complete THE RITUAL before sunrise, you will cast off your pitiful childish forms and transform into something so awesome and terrible that the humans will have no choice but to respect you.

It isn’t easy being a toy. You’re as weak and fragile as a snowman in summer. Yes, you’ve got supernatural powers, but normal human tasks are challenging for you... if you go it alone. You’ll have to work together, get to the hill, and perform THE RITUAL by morning, or the magic sustaining you will peter out... and you’ll be doomed to the mundanity of the toy box for all time.

Your greatest weapon is fear. Everyone underestimates a simple toy; use that to your advantage. Get to the hill, perform THE RITUAL, and whatever you do, don’t get caught out after sunrise.
